Each year since the Nitsan Choephel Ling Temple was first consecrated in 1973, the community has gathered for the annual Rabne Re-Consecration Prayer Service to re-empower the temple and its sacred objects.

Participants are welcome to bring their own religious objects to be re-consecrated during the ceremony, including malas, thangkas, Buddha statues and images, texts, amulets, prayer flags, and other ritual objects used in their practice.

Rabne means “firmly sealing” in Tibetan. Through prayers and meditation, the ceremony invokes the presence and wisdom of enlightened beings and renews the sacred energy of the temple and religious objects.
