The Core Committee for the 75th Anniversary: Year of Celebration, commemorating the historic milestone of the first arrival of Kalmyks in the United States, is excited to announce that registration is officially open for this year's Kalmyk Naadam (Jangariad) Festival.
Naadam, also known as Jangariad, is the traditional annual festival of the nomadic peoples of the Eurasian Steppes and Southern Siberia. For the Kalmyk community in the United States, this celebration honors our nomadic heritage, cultural traditions, resilience in the diaspora, and the enduring connections that unite generations of Kalmyks around the world.
Over the past 75 years, Kalmyks in America have preserved their identity while adapting to new environments. Although traditions evolve across generations and continents, our shared values, history, and community remain strong. This year's Naadam is an opportunity to celebrate our heritage through friendly competition, cultural expression, and meaningful fellowship.
