Kalmyk Heritage Center Hosts Youth Basketball Tournament and Community Cleanup

The Kalmyk Heritage Center recently organized a youth basketball tournament in partnership with Brooklyn USA Basketball, bringing together young athletes for a day filled with sports, teamwork, and community spirit.

The tournament gave children and teenagers an opportunity to showcase their basketball skills while learning the value of discipline, cooperation, and sportsmanship. Families, volunteers, and community members came together to support the young players and celebrate their achievements.

Following the tournament, volunteers from the Kalmyk Heritage Center took part in a routine community cleanup alongside Assemblyman William Colton. The cleanup reflected the center’s ongoing commitment not only to supporting local youth, but also to keeping the neighborhood clean, welcoming, and connected.
